Julia Baloo

PINEDALE — Funeral services for Julia Baloo, 46, will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 15, at Potter House, Fort Defiance. The Rev. Martin Haven will officiate.

Burial will be in Fort Defiance Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m., April 15, at Potter House.

John died April 12, 2011, in Fort Defiance. She was born Aug. 18, 1964, in Gallup, into the Black Streak Wood People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

John attended Gallup High School. Her hobbies included crocheting, play cards, joking and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Austin Long; sons, Larrieston Charlie, Johnston Earnest Baloo, Johnson Earnest Baloo Jr.; daughters, Arlene Gaddy, Elonda Tsosie, Julianna Baloo, Lenora Ann Baloo, Julonda Ann Baloo; parents, Anita Pete, Harry Pete; brothers, Larry John, Gary John; sisters, Rosita Smith, Marie Showie; 10 grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by her brothers, Emerson John, Terry John Sr., Johnston E. Baloo, Eric Begay, Larrieston Charlie, Johnson E. Baloo Jr., Johnathan Showie, Austin Long.

Pallbearers will be Larrieston Charlie, Johnston E. Baloo, Johnson E. Baloo Jr., Eric Begay, Austin Long, Eric Begay.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fort Defiance Chapter House, following services.

Ralph Boggs

ALOHA, Ore. — Funeral services for Ralph “Red” Boggs, 81, will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 15, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 601 Susan Dr. Bishop Tommy Haws will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 15.

Boggs died April 7, 2011, in Aloha, Ore. He was born April 21, 1929, in Berino, N.M.

Boggs was a lifetime resident and relocated to Aloha, Ore. He was a retired contractor and master Craftsman of Carpentry. He was active with the Elks Lodge and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gallup.

Survivors include his wife, Edith of Aloha; sons, Ralph of Sache, Texas, Albert of Hatch, William of Belen, Darrell of Aloha.

Boggs was preceded in death by his son, Kelvin; parents, Carroll Angus and Ione Boggs.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Boggs, Albert Boggs, William Boggs, Darrel Boggs, Kelvin Boggs, Paul Spiros.

Harold Clark Jr.

KLAGETOH — Funeral services for Harold Francis Clark Jr., 82, will be 10 a.m., April 15, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Klagetoh. Burial will be in Tanner Springs.

Clark died April 9, 2011, in Fort Defiance. He was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Fort Defiance, into the Water’s Edge People Clan for the Black Streak Wood People Clan.

Clark attended Klagetoh BIA School. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed joking, laughing, getting along with people. He was a rancher, did construction and chapter work. Clark enjoyed saddle bronic, basketball and horse back riding.
Survivors include his wife, Louise L. Clark; sons, Harold Clark III, Lorenzo Clark, Melvin Yazzie, Ricky James, Leonard Yellowhorse, Randy Clark, George Clark; daughters, Margie Yazzie, Lucenda Clark; brother, Albert Clark; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Mardge Housten Clark, Harold Clark Sr.; Margaret Clark, Gilbert Clark, Alvin Clark, Harold Albert Clark; brother, Jonah Clark; sisters, Helen Brown, Irene Ashley, Elizabeth.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Spencer, Marais Lee, Alfred Baker, Freddie Leo, Hank Brown Jr., Johnson Tabaha.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Klagetoh Chapter House, following services.

GALLUP — Services are pending for John P. James, 58.
James died Monday, April 11, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 18, 1952, in Little Rock.

Leslie Tsosie

TSAILE — Funeral services for Leslie Tsosie, 65, will be 9 a.m., Friday, April 15, at Tsaile Community Church. Raymond Hobb will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Wheatfields.
Tsosie died April 8, 2011, in San Juan. He was born Aug. 17, 1945, in Wheatfields, into the Under the Cover People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Survivors include her son, Emery Tsosie.
Pallbearers will be Darrick Hobbs, Tony Yazzie, Edward Begay, Terrance Redhouse, Ty Tony Yazzie, Vincent Harvey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Wheatfields Chapter House, following services. The family will meet at NHA Housing #2, Tsaile, 6 p.m., tonight.

Kee Steah

CHINLE — Funeral services for Kee Steah, 90, will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 15, at Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle. Burial will be in Del Muerto Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m., April 15, at the church.

Steah died April 11, 2011, in Winslow. He was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Del Muerto, into the Water Flow Together People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Steah was born in Del Muerto and lived in Chinle most of his life. The skills he learned as a construction worker took him many places throughout the U.S. He worked at power plants as a member of the union. He liked to tell jokes and share stories of his travels.

Survivors include his sons, Nelson Steah, Ben Steah, Johnson Steah; daughters, Evelyn Steah, LaVerne Steah, Leah Steah, Lorina Antonio, Zonnie Slivers, Ella Mae Taylor; brothers, Kenneth Clark, Wayne Clark, Herman Clark, Ned Clark, Raymond Clark; 36 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren.

Steah was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Steah; parents, Yazzie Clark, Angelo Clark; sisters, Delores Teller, Zonnie John; Olin Slivers, Zane Antonio, Francis Antonio.

Pallbearers will be Johnson Steah, Ben Steah, Ambrose Steah, Elbert Taylor, Robertson Taylor, Alonzio Steah, Jonathan Steah, Nelson Steah Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Steah’s residence at Valley Store, 4 miles north of Bashas, following services.

Steve Tomljanovich

GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Steve Tomljanovich, 81, will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 15, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. The Rev. Ravi will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 3-4:30 p.m., today, April 14. A Rosary will be recited 1 p.m., April 15, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Tomlijanovich died April 12, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Mentmore.

Tomljanovich attended Gallup High School, A&M with a bachelor degree in physical education in 1954 and Arizona State College, Flagstaff with a master’s in 1965. He served in the United States Army as Private CO M 112th Infantry Regt. He was employed with Jays Super Market, McKinley County Schools as a P.E. coach, basketball coach, teacher and counselor until retirement in the late 1980s. Activities included Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in 1956, being an usher at Sacred Heart Cathedral and was a 50 year member of Croatian Fraternal Union.
Survivors include his brother, Charles Tomljanovich of El Paso, Texas; sister, Mary Pecoraro of Gallup.

Tomljanovich was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Ljuba Tomljanovich.
Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson Sr., Larry Johnson Jr., Michael Johnson, Gene Ritch, Charles Richard Tomljanovich, Brett Sawyer.
